Watercolours over freehand ink sketch of Jacobi Tower with its huge bell (La Grosse Cloche) in Bordeaux, France. This medieval city gate is one of six remaining gates of the old city and is probably the most famous. The ornate clock and coats of arms in my painting are admittedly somewhat larger than in reality, but deserve to be given more prominence in the final composition.
