Realist Art in Oils, Watercolours and Ink Sketches by Dai Wynn
Pont Louis-Philippe Paris
An early evening view of le pont Louis-Phillipe on the Bras Marie of the River Seine in Paris. Le Bras Marie (Marie Arm) is the right bank arm of the Seine alongside the Ile Saint Louis. To the left of this image is the Ile de la Cité with its famous Notre Dame Cathédrale, currently cloaked in a huge exoskeleton of scaffolding. The work site is surrounded by a continuous hoarding which explains in photographs, drawings and detailed text the absolutely huge rebuilding efforts to restore this 800 year old iconic church after the disastrous fire of 15 April 2019.
Oil painting by Dai Wynn on linen on board. 30.5cm high by 40.6cm wide by 0.5cm deep.
