Description
Dandenong Creek runs through the outer south-eastern industrial suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
I loved this scene for the composition of colours in a quiet bend and for the overhanging trees. While I definitely would not recommend swimming in the water, let alone drinking it, the scene is a gem in an otherwise bland area defined by grey and white concrete and steel warehouses.
As a matter of interest, I always try to photograph a scene which has an acceptable composition. I don’t just point my camera and hope. However, this leads to many disappointments, especially when travelling by car. I may glimpse what seems to be a brilliant composition in an area where there is nowhere to stop. The road is too narrow. There are cars behind me.
