Description
Rue Maxence de Damas in Hautefort, Nouvelle Aquitaine, France. The circular tower of the Château d’Hautefort forms an impressive backdrop. Watercolour painting based on a pen and ink freehand sketch by Dai Wynn in A3 format. Interestingly, Google Streetview in January 2011 depicts a fairly diminutive well with a simple shingled roof. When we visited in September 2017, it had been replaced with the magnificent multi-domed, bent-wood, slate-shingled cupola to match that of the château.
