Description
Dai Wynn painted this view from a narrow-gauge train as it descended from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald in Switzerland. The Kleine Scheidegg junction is where a rack railway starts its climb through the Eiger tunnel to the Jungfraujoch summit at 3,571 metres (11,782 feet). Red-rooved chalets and farmhouses, speckle the valley below at Grindelwald. Oil paints on linen panel. 25.4 cm high by 30.5 cm wide by 0.3 cm deep approximately.
