Look carefully and one will see a man and his faithful dog paddling in Darebin Creek in the early morning. After a very wet Spring, the creek is flowing well and the trees beneath the cliffs at right are verdant. These wetlands in Alphington north east of Melbourne, Victoria are a magnet for dog lovers, joggers and walkers. There are also several lakes frequented by ducks and waterfowl. All of this just a short walk away from suburbia.
