Burg Sooneck sits atop a rocky crag overlooking the Rhine River in Germany. Since 2002, Sooneck Castle has been part of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. Like many castles in the area, it has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It is open to the public.
