Bellagio, at the tip of the peninsula in Lombardy’s Lake Como, is the holiday destination of the rich and famous. This is one of several narrow alleys lined with upmarket shops. Steps lead down to the waterfront where ferries cross Lake Como to the Swiss side, or to the town of Como at the southern end.
