Early morning sunshine lights up the bank of the Birrarung (Yarra River) near Heidelberg, north east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This is an area of native forest where white-limb eucalyptus (gum) trees lean over the waters of the slow flowing river. I tend not to visit these locations in summer for fear of stepping on a poisonous snake.
