An afternoon view of light play on the banks of the Yarra River at Eaglemont, Victoria. This north eastern area of Melbourne is untouched bushland apart from several narrow walking and biking trails beside the Birrarung (Yarra River). Although a major infrastructure project is nearby, this nature park is tranquil. It is a very short walk from my studio and is a major influence on much of my artworks. Several small trail-side boards host an image of a painting by one or more of the late 19th century Heidlberg School of Art devotees. Many include a description of the location of the 1880s viewpoint. Fortunately, there are many more trees today.
