The small village of Bellagio, on the tip of the peninsula on Lake Como, has a small number of shops reached by flights of stone steps leading up from the lake shore. Bellagio has a reputation as the holiday retreat for the rich and famous, offering top-of-the-range accommodation and water sports. It is reached by a narrow winding road and a regular ferry service which stops at all of the villages on both sides of Lake Como.
