A view of Dubrovnik in the Republika Hrvatska (Croatia). On a recent trip (March 2026) to the Balkan states, I noticed that vehicles in Croatia with their EU standard licence/number plates, showed an "HR" where the country code is placed before the vehicle number. So, while "CY" represents Cyprus and "CZ" represents Czechia (Czech Republic), "HR" represents Croatia (Hrvatska).
