My studio at the foot of Mount Eagle is in an urban forested area of Melbourne's north-east. The rainbow lorikeet is a frequent resident and flies in noisy flocks, particularly in the Darebin Creek wetlands. This pair was seen near a small bird box attached to a gum tree, presumably by nature lovers.
