The River Pegnitz flows through Nürnberg (Nurenberg) in Bavaria, Germany. This is a view of the old part of the city below the Kaiserburg. Nuremberg is a fascinating city with a number of interesting stops on a well trodden tourist path. There's the wooden and stone covered bridge across the Pegnitz (think Kappelbrücke - Chapel Bridge - in Lucerne, Switzerland), the house of the famous artist Albecht Durer, Adolf Hitler's half-finished amphitheatre, Hitler's huge parade ground and, as already mentioned, the Kaiserberg castle which dominates the old town.
