I have visited Périgueux on two occasions, several years apart, and have wandered the narrow streets and laneways of the old town, photographing the cobbled steps and stone buildings on the hillside down to the L'Isle River. Apart from the famous St Front Cathedral, there is a museum built over the Gallo-Roman ruins of Vesunna.
