Torno is one of several villages on the Como arm of Lake Como in Lombardy, Italy. While I (Dai) made the white-knuckle ride in a bus from Como to Bellagio, along a narrow road hugging the steep hillsides, I would have passed through Torno. Whenever the road seemed too narrow, or sharp curves presented blind spots, the bus driver leaned on the horn. Fortunately, a hydrofoil ferry offered a more relaxed ride back to Como, as it zigzagged across the lake from village to village.
